# APC Draft

> Draft your APC case study and summary of experience offline: word counts that follow the published counting rules, the 24 month window, coverage by level, CPD hours. Private, in your browser.

APC Draft is a private, browser-only workspace for chartered surveying candidates writing the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) submission: the case study (at most 3,000 words, with a 95 to 100 percent target band and a 24 month window) and the summary of experience (at most 1,500 words for the mandatory competencies and 4,000 for the technical ones, counted only in the summary column). It counts words by the rules Microsoft Word uses, checks dates, CPD hours and diary days, and cites the published candidate guidance for every limit. - APC Draft never writes, rewrites or suggests your text. There is no AI, no phrase bank and no autocomplete: every word is yours.
- Our count may differ from Word by a few words; check the final count in Word before you upload.
